Salt Of Earth Light Of World

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:12-17

The Tablet of my Heart

"....write them on the tablet of my heart." Proverbs 7:3 exhorts us to keep the words and commands within because they are lifesaving.
I so want God's truth to be close and inscribed deeply in my being.
But what is the Tablet of my Heart?
When I think of my heart, I immediately think of tenderness and soft vulnerability.
A tablet, in old testament writing, would have been made out of stone, clay or wood, basically a hard surface.
To me "tablet of my heart," translates to a sort of hard, yet pliable substance.
In scripture, a hardened heart would have been the result of rebellion or an unyielding spirit, just like Pharaoh who refused to let God's people go.
We often experience that hardness of heart when we allow the same unyielding spirit the ability to forsake anger, selfish ambition, or any sinful nature for that matter.
Romans 3:23 says, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," so I'm willing to bet that we all have experienced some hardness of heart.
But the beauty my friends, is that the exact cause of that hardness, can be the perfect tablet for God to inscribe His love and truth deep in your being!
Will we be like Pharaoh, doomed because of a hardened heart? "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us" Romans 8:37. His teachings are lifesaving.

I pray that we would allow God to inscribe His love on our hearts and more importantly that we do not forget his teachings and are obedient to them thereafter.

Find the explanation from Father to avoid the confusing and wrong meaning. It's better to hear than explain yourself.
